Welcome -
"Our goal is to serve the citizens of El Paso County in the most timely, cost-efficient, and secure manner possible, while treating you with courtesy and respect."

Robert Balink

The primary function of the County Treasurer's Office is the collection and distribution of property taxes in compliance with Colorado Statutes.
The Treasurer serves as the banker and investment officer for all County funds. Interest earnings provide an additional source of revenue for the County and its various agencies.

The collection of unpaid property taxes and special assessments is the responsibility of the Treasurer. Real property and manufactured home unpaid taxes are enforced through the annual tax lien sale with the Treasurer becoming the agent through which the lien is paid. Personal property tax enforcement is accomplished by seizing and selling the property when necessary.

Notices:

2013 TAXES PAYABLE 2014: The mobile home tax lien auction will be held November 19, 2014.  The last day to pay mobile home taxes to stop a tax lien from being offered at auction is November 17, 2014.  All payments must be in the form of certified funds. Personal checks and postmarks are not accepted.
